Huehuetenango (pronounced way-way-ten-ang-go) is a very tough climb into the mountains North and West of the Town.  Last time I was in Huehuetenango it took us 7 hours to drive there by bus over the infamous Central American Highway 1.

Arriving with a thirst that was difficult to quench, we immediately got in four wheel vehicles and headed straight up for another hour.  It was worth it.

The coffee is wonderful, and the terrain, although tough, is exquisite.  Take a peek at some of the pictures below.

and the Lingle's at www.scaa.org

I apologize for the thumb, but the road was a bit rocky.  This is the real thing.  Not a prop in Disneyland.  The coffee business is a tough business.  But it tastes great.
